Asian Pacific Studies Collection
The focus of the Asian Pacific Studies Collection is Japanese American evacuation and internment during World War II. The collection contains newsletters, statements, speeches, articles, camp directories, newspapers, magazines, personal documents, photographs and artifacts. This collection is related to the Kenkyu project at CSUDH.

Mochizuki Collection
Materials in the Mochizuki Collection were accumulated by Yukio Mochizuki. Mr. Mochizuki was an undergraduate student at California State University Dominguez Hills during the late 1970's. Mr. Mochizuki's research focused on the Japanese-Peruvian internment during World War II. The collection was left in the care of Dr. Donald Hata, Professor of History at California State University Dominguez Hills. Dr. Hata graciously turned the collection over to the University Archives in May of 1998.

Japanese Garden at CSUDH
Ground was broken and sanctified for the Community-Campus Japanese Garden at CSU Dominguez Hills on February 19, 1978. During the ensuing eight months, volunteers from the Gardena Valley Gardeners' Association, Pacific Coast and Los Angeles chapters of the California Landscape Contractors Association, and the Centinela chapter of the California Association of Nurserymen joined with CSUDH administrators, faculty, staff and students in the first community-campus effort of this nature and magnitude. The volunteer workers selflessly contributed labor, materials, and technical expertise to make the dream a reality. Other members of the community and campus responded with monetary contributions in a mutually supportive effort. The collection contains correspondence, committee materials, solicitation materials, publicity materials, brochures, photographs and artifacts.
